The World in America is planning to help celebrate The International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit centennial, we would like to remind you of the importance of supporting this non-profit organization working tirelessly to serve Southeastern Michigan in immigration, social service and global education. Therefore, we dedicate our first issue of Michigan Global Directory to support IIMD.
The Global Directory is a fund-raising effort
Our goal is to raise $100,000 this year for our International Club’s after-school program that empowers participants “to think globally and act locally.” IIMD’s programs provide opportunities for audiences of all ages to enhance global learning and cultural awareness of our ever-changing world. Through learning basic communication in major languages, music, songs, dances and arts; while developing an informed respect for the diverse cultures in which we live.
